Hi, there! Thank you for stopping by Connections by O’Brien Travel, LLC (formally, known as O’Brien Family Time Travel & Romantic Time Travel.) I started my career in 1981 after graduating from Travel Education Center. I’ve held many positions throughout my career helping clients with their business and vacation plans. In 2008, I started my own successful full-service travel agency, focusing on family vacations, groups and romance travel.
I'm often asked what is my favorite destination, that's a tough one to answer as there so many great destinations to explore. I must say my favorite to date is the Hawaiian Islands and the other is Switzerland. I did a biking and hiking trip to Switzerland one year and it was just magnificent being in the Alps and it truly made you want to burst into singing a Julie Andrews song!
Lots have changed in the travel industry since I started my career. But, there's one thing that hasn't changed, that is my commitment to my clients. By keeping up on the latest industry trends, attending webinars and yearly workshops, completing certification programs, and traveling to site inspections; all this helps me make sure that I have the right destination and the right resort that will be the best fit for you. It gives me great pleasure to have clients come back from a vacation, honeymoon, destination wedding, etc. and hear them raved about what a wonderful time that they had and all the great memories that were made and cherished for a lifetime!
Bonnie lives in New Hampshire with her husband and son. During part of her childhood, she grew up under a flight path near Boston Logan Airport; the planes would be flying so low, that she could wave to the pilots and passengers (at least it seemed that way.)
She received her CTC (Certified Travel Consultant) designation in 1988 from ICTA (Institute of Certified Travel Agents, which is now known as The Travel Institute) and two years later received her DS (Designation Specialist) from ICTA. In addition to this, she is a Newbury College graduate and a 14 Stories Gay Wedding Institute Graduate. She is a member of ASTA Small Business Network (formally, known as NACTA-National Career of Travel Agents) and serves on the New England Chapter Board. Other memberships include Charter Member of DWHSA (Destination Weddings & Honeymoon Specialist Association), ASTA (American Society of Travel Advisors) and Pelham High School Music Booster Club as Secretary.
Bonnie has travel extensively to the Caribbean, Western Europe, Iceland, China, Mexico, Canada and throughout the United States. She has hiked several mountains including Mt. Washington (three times), as well as Grand Canyon, Half Dome in Yosemite National Park and Haleakala Crater in Maui and Diamond Head in Oahu. Loves photography, food and wine.
